  My parents and I went to the younger Mr. Casey to do some simple estate planning. The only meeting was very easy and Mr. Casey took copious notes. My father was relieved to know that one of the items on his to-do list was well underway. Dad had recently found out that some form of cancer was in his body. We were unsure of what the future held. Mr. Casey told us he would have the information drafted into a formal will and trust in the coming week. He made sure to capture my parents address and phone # and my email address. After several weeks with no contact by Mr. Casey, my father asked about the status while there doing some real estate business with his staff. Mr. Casey responded with "I need to get to that". We are many weeks beyond that initial meeting. I am sad to say that my father passed away day before yesterday. I am now left to navigate the legal system in a state I do not live in to make sure that my mother and his assets are protected. Mr. Casey did not perform due diligence in this matter and there appeared to be little regard to that fact. I can not speak to the reason for the lack of follow through. I can only speak to the fact that my father has passed and we have nothing, not even an apology. I will locate a reputable attorney that has the integrity to accomplish what he/she has agreed to do for the job of cleaning up what should have been a simple job. While no money exchanged hands, a time frame was promised and was not kept. I can not in good faith recommend the younger Mr. Casey to anyone.
